'Field Guide to Photography' National Geographic A great introduction to advanced photography (oxymoron?), has a lot of examples of different types of photography and full page visual spreads, as well as easy descriptions as to how to use a camera to achieve such affects.   It's a little wordy, but definitely a great book to take a look at. I have a copy of interested. Anna Selle
'World Photo Contest' Facebook Obviously inaccessible from school, but it's a group on facebook and has some great example work for photographers to examine. You can also submit work and get feedback from other professional, semi-professional, or amatuer photographers. Because it's facebook, it's not totally legit, but it's good to get a fresh perspective and see what other photographers are doing. Anna Selle
